I chose to become a member of DANAI after moving back from London. I felt it was was important to be part of union that offers support and ongoing education in this nursing field here in Ireland. Since joining it is great to have a network of support with fellow aesthetic nurses to discuss this advancing industry, share opinions, ideas and knowledge with one another. Everyone supports each other rather than compete, which is very important for us nurses.

I have been a member of the Danai group for 3 years. I was doing Aesthetics in Ireland solo after training in the UK. The group is very supportive as we have a what's app group and no question is too silly. Someone will always answer. We meet up twice a year and network and soak up all the free training on the day. Save Face and other groups come to chat to us and give us the lowdown on what's happening in other countries. The glass of wine after also helps getting to know people.

Being part of a Dermatology and Aesthetics group is the only way to go forward in my view. Strength in numbers.

Being new to the aesthetic industry and having set up my own business, one of the first things I did was joining DANAI.

I've been a nurse for 12 years and know how important support and guidance is from your peers and I felt by joining DANAI I would get this, which I am grateful to say has been the case.

I also am fully aware of how unregulated parts of the aesthetic industry has become in Ireland so I wanted to do everything right from the start and to deliver the highest standard of care to my clients.
